Call for
Secretary
The Division’s Nominating Committee invites you to submit recommendations for possible nominees for the office of Division E Secretary. The Committee will consider suggestions submitted as part of its deliberation process. All recommendations must come from current Division E members. Self-recommendations are encouraged.
Per AERA’s election cycle, the election for Division E Secretary will be held January 2020. The two-year term will begin at the conclusion of the 2021 Annual Meeting (2021-2023).
The Division E Secretary serves on the Division’s Executive Committee, contributes to planning the annual meeting and maintains minutes, records, and communications with members. To be eligible, individuals must be current members of AERA Division E.
Recommendations must be submitted by Monday, September 30, 2019. The recommendations should include a brief statement of the person’s qualifications and a rationale for the recommendation plus a one-page CV.
The required information should be sent electronically to this year’s Division E Nominating Committee Chair, Sarah Kiefer (kiefer@usf.edu). Please put "Division E Secretary Nominee Recommendation" in the subject line. CV’s can be sent as Word or PDF files. Recommendation materials will be forwarded to Nominating Committee members.

Call for
AWARDS

The submission deadline for the 2020 AERA-sponsored awards is now Thursday, November 7, 2019 (except for nominations for the Outstanding Book Award, which were due October 23, 2019). To be eligible for consideration, unless otherwise noted, all nominations must be submitted electronically, using the AERA award nomination e-form, on or before the deadline. The award nominations portal can be accessed on the AERA website at https://www.aera.net/About-AERA/Awards. Listings of past awardees can be found at the same location.
Specific nominating criteria are detailed for each award in the online portal. Note that supporting materials may include curriculum vitae, letters of support from other AERA members familiar with the nominee’s work, sample publications, and additional information on the nominee’s accomplishments.
All AERA awards will be conferred at the Awards Ceremony and Celebration during the 2020 Annual Meeting in San Francisco, CA.
